India Chaat Cafe & Curry Out

Server was very friendly and helpful with info about Indian dishes we weren't familiar with. The good came pretty quickly even though we could tell they were preparing many many takeout orders. We've had enough Indian food to know this is authentic with spices etc. They had an extensive menu also. They also did a good job making our food mild--American palate mild, not Indian palate mild. 😄 It's definitely not a fancy place, but comfortable. Much preferred to a fancy place with mediocre food!

Absolutely loved Indian Chaat Cafe! The food was delicious — full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Kevin provided excellent customer service, super friendly and very helpful with recommendations. Great experience overall. Highly recommend!

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Dayton. My husband and I have been eating here for many years and it's excellent every time. The vegetable pakora, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, lamb saag, baingan bharta, and Sri Lankan chicken are all top notch. The portions are all generous and the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for truly great Indian food!

This place is really close to us, yet we haven’t been there in over 3 years! Finally, we went there this weekend, a small cute place which is specifically for take out but they have enough space for dine-in as well. Like the fact that its mostly self service kinda place, you do get your order served by the staff. We ordered chhole bhature and egg curry with naan! Both of these did not disappoint. The bhatura were one of the best I had eaten in the US till now. Fluffy yet soft, not too chewy (though they are extremely heavy). Chhole were good I would say, the chickpeas were still a bit hard and the sauce was overly tangy! But the combo tasted fine. Egg curry was more like a egg version of navratran korma, it was too creamy and sweet. Overall taste was fine but wasn’t as egg curry is expected to be, little red and balanced spices, non sweet. Despite all these, the overall taste was great. The portions were large so that’s one good thing. Staff is friendly and polite too. Loved the place, would go again to try other dishes. By far, the best Indian restaurant in Dayton area!!

After sampling many Indian dishes across the globe, I'm here to say, Andrew and his capable crew prepare some of the best Indian cuisine I've enjoyed; here, there and everywhere. Indian Chaat's use of fresh, quality ingredients and truckloads of what many purveyors skimp on, herbs and spices, sets them apart from their peers. The Cafe & Curry Out has a large menu chock full of something for everyone; vegetarians, meat lovers and spice addicts alike. Regardless of what you enjoy, I recommend you order some bread to accompany your dish. I've been a customer of this fine establishment for over a decade and have referred many to darken the door here, all of whom are now regular customers - there's no reason to go anywhere else unless you're looking for a fine dining experience. If you're in the mood for fantastic cuisine at a fair price, especially on the go, give Indian Chaat Cafe & Curry Out a try, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!
